 designworks is a residential design firm owned and operated by Texas architect, Jill A. Bryant. Jill has been a registered architect for 20 years, earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston in 1983. She has resided in Galveston County since 1981 and has practiced residential architecture in the Galveston Bay area for over 12 years. While doing many different types of residential design, she specializes in coastal home design. Jill believes that a residence should not just be a house, but an extension of the person or family who lives there. It should fit the needs of those individuals as well as their clothes do. She is an advocate of smart design ~ following the concept that bigger is not always better. Jill also promotes green building methods, not only for environmental reasons, but for the homeowners benefit as well. Jill currently practices out of her home studio located in Santa Fe, Texas.
